摘要: This paper discusses the issue of performance requirements and construction criteria for masonry enclosure infill walls. Vertical building enclosures in European countries are very often constituted by non-load-bearing walls, using horizontally perforated clay bricks. These walls generally supported confined a reinforced concrete frame structure columns beams/slabs. Since these commonly considered to be nonstructural elements their influence on structural response is ignored, consideration design structures as well connection adjacent frequently negligent or insufficiently detailed. As consequence, elements, wall enclosures, relatively sensitive drift acceleration demands when buildings subjected seismic actions. Many international standards technical documents stress need acceptability however they do not specifically indicate how prevent collapse severe cracking, enhance overall stability case moderate high loading. Furthermore, review appropriate measures improve both in-plane out-of-plane integrity under actions addressed.
