摘要: Transplastomics are developed predominantly for biotechnological applications since heterologous proteins can be expressed to high levels with bona fide structures and because of maternal inheritance tailored traits in most cultivated plants as rare gene leakage through pollens is experimentally witnessed. Further, advances plastome sequencing research have been exponential the post-genomic era; hence, expressing multiple genes develop biologically functional pharmaceuticals under strong promoters translation control elements operons made possible. This chapter summarizes developments from plastid genomics expression briefly describes how transplastome facilitates vaccines, therapeutics, plantibodies, addition tailoring agronomic plants.
