摘要: Network coding has its roots in information theory where it was initially proposed as a way to improve two-node communication using (broadcasting) relay. For this theoretical construct, satellite communications system an illustrative example, the relay node would be covering two nodes. The benefits terms of throughput, resilience, and flexibility network are quite relevant for wireless networks general, systems particular. This chapter presents some basics coding, well overview specific scenarios provides significant improvement compared existing solutions, broadcast multicast networks, hybrid satellite-terrestrial broadband multibeam satellites. also compares perspectives revisits layered networking paradigm, before drawing conclusions identifying promising developments topic.
