摘要: Mobile TV networks have received significant at- tention from the industry and academia, as they already been deployed in several countries their expected market potential is huge. In such networks, a base station broadcasts channels bursts with bit rates much higher than encoding of videos. This enables mobile receivers to receive burst traffic then turn off receiving circuit till next conserve energy. The needs construct transmission schedule for all different channels. Constructing optimal (in terms energy saving) schedules has shown be an NP-complete problem when are encoded at arbitrary rates. this paper, we propose near-optimal approximation algorithm solve problem. We prove correctness proposed derive its factor. also conduct extensive evaluation our using real implementation testbed simulations. Our experimental simulation results show that algorithm: (i) practical produces correct schedules, (ii) achieves saving devices, (iii) runs efficiently time.
