Ideal MHD ballooning stability in the vicinity of a separatrix

摘要: Using a model tokamak equilibrium, the influence of magnetic separatrix on stability plasma against ideal MHD ballooning modes is investigated. It found that there no significant stabilizing effect from strong global shear near separatrix, but rather marginal controlled mainly by poloidal position X-point. A physical interpretation these results given.
