摘要: Cerebellar dysfunction is an important contributor to disability in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS), however, few vivo studies focused on cerebellar volume loss so far. This relates technical challenges regarding the segmentation of cerebellum. In this study, we evaluated semi-automatic ECCET software for performing volumetry using high-resolution 3D T1-MR scans MS and healthy volunteers. We performed test–retest as well inter-observer reliability testing compared results a fully automatic FreeSurfer pipeline 15 patients. pilot matched-pair analysis another data set from relapsing–remitting age- sex-matched controls (HC), assessed feasibility approach detect MS-related differences. For total normalized grey white matter volumes, intrarater (intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) = 0.99, 95 % CI 0.98–0.99) interobserver agreement (ICC 0.98, 0.74–0.99) were strong. Comparison between likewise yielded good intraclass 0.86, 0.58–0.95). Compared HC, had significantly reduced brain, cerebellar, volumes (p ≤ 0.05). suitable tool showing excellent reliability. Our volunteers suggests that method sensitive reliable detecting atrophy MS.
