摘要: A wideband noise-cancelling low-noise amplifier (LNA) without the use of inductors is designed for low-voltage and low-power applications. Based on common-gate-common-source (CG-CS) topology, a new approach employing local negative feedback introduced between parallel CG CS stages. The moderate gain at source cascode transistor in stage utilized to boost transconductance transistor. This leads an LNA with higher lower noise figure (NF) compared conventional CG-CS LNA, particularly under low power voltage constraints. By adjusting open-loop gain, NF can be optimized by distributing consumption among transistors resistors based their contribution NF. optimal value obtained taking into account effect phase shift high frequency. linearity improved two types distortion-cancelling techniques. Fabricated 0.13-μm RF CMOS process, achieves 19 dB 2.8-3.4 over 3-dB bandwidth 0.2-3.8 GHz. It consumes 5.7 mA from 1-V supply occupies active area only 0.025 mm2.
