摘要: The study of heavy metal distribution in coastal surface sediments is an important component understanding the exogenic cycling as well assessing effect anthropogenic influences on marine ecosystem. In this study, sediment samples were collected from five different traverses along innershelf Bay Bengal, off Chennai, India during pre- and post-monsoon seasons. results Spearmen correlation matrix, factor cluster analysis, enrichment contamination geoaccumulation index metals analyzed discussed. level both are shown following order Cd > Cu Cr Ni Pb Co Zn Mn Fe Hg. suggests that strongly to extremely pollute indict sources for moderate input Chennai coast.
