摘要: An investigation was made into the effects of hyperammonemia on metabolism brain serotonin (5-HT). The animal model used sparse fur (spf) mouse, which possesses an inborn error urea cycle, i.e. abnormal form ornithine transcarbamylase. Several indoles were measured in and plasma using liquid chromatography with electrochemical detection coupled to u.v. (LCEC-u.v.). In mutant mice, total tryptophan (TRP) higher when compared controls, while free-TRP portion unchanged. these animals, TRP increased whilst 5-HT 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA) levels significantly hypothalamus midbrain. Experiments NSD-1015 (100 mg/kg i.p.) indicated that 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) synthesis rate hyperammonemic mice. Pargyline experiments confirmed enhanced turnover spf addition, led conclusion does not affect various constants. After administration NSD-1015, level slightly mouse brains, it stationary those controls. This result could indicate activity hepatic TRP-pyrrolase Valine (VAL) (200 reduced content two kinds but its effect shorter duration control. Comparison tryptamine a slight significant increase data reported here may peripheral consequences upon synthesis, promote certain neurologic disorders.
