摘要: Unilateral application of the convulsant brain metabolite, quinolinic acid, to unanesthetized rats resulted in a transient dramatic decrease norepinephrine levels (nadir -70% after 2 h) both injected and contralateral hippocampus. Dose-response relationships temporal sequence this effect indicated close functional association between seizure events hippocampal content. Massive release inhibitory transmitter, norepinephrine, may thus constitute brain's defensive response acid-induced seizures.
