摘要: During the past two decades, there has been an explosive increase in number of techniques and devices used to treat obstructed coronary arteries. Since its introduction 1977 (1), catheter balloon angioplasty gained wide acceptance as a nonsurgical form therapy for acutely chronically arteries, this technique forms centerpiece around which newer tools have developed. Of many interventional currently or under study, their morphologic effects (“remodeling”) on vessel luminal shape obstruction can be separated into underlying processes (2): (a) remodeling (“displacing,” “expanding,” “attaching”) (b) removing (“heating,” “drilling,” “excising”) (Tables 1, 2). This chapter will review acute chronic changes after other techniques.
