Analysis of Expectations of Electronic Grocery Shopping for Potential Customer Segments

摘要: The special nature of groceries, especially perishables, challenges the possibilities digital channels i.e. computers and networks to improve customer service. We report findings theme interviews on potential electronic commerce (EC) groceries with 33 experts grocery industry EC, most them senior executives, in 23 organisations Finland during Autumn 1997. specific areas interest study are predicted volume EC shopping, segments, anticipated benefits customers, supplier strategies infrastructure alternatives. Benefits ECS (electronic shopping) analysed for three selected groups terms phases consumer buying process as well two different solutions. It seems that an EGS build top current can only satisfy one major group. In order gain momentum needs a dedicated within which logistic efficiency be increased.
