A root-cause analysis of poor prognosis in patients aged 80 years and over with acute ischemic stroke after mechanical thrombectomy

摘要: Objective To explore the safety and effectiveness of mechanical thrombectomy in patients ≥80 years old, to analyze causes poor prognosis. Methods The data twenty consecutive old with acute ischemic stroke who underwent our hospital from January 2017 June 2018 were retrospectively reviewed.Baseline information, imaging data, procedures, complications, clinical prognosis collected.The analyzed. Results A total 20 advanced age included, an average (83.3±4.1)years(range 80 96 years). All thrombectomy, successful recanalization rate(mTICI 2b-3)was 70%.The incidence technical complications was 15%, which rate symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage 5%.Among 11 prognosis, included severe diseases later revascularization 2 patients, unsuccessful or 3 cases, age-related factors 6 among there accompanied multiple stenoses, collaterals rapid progress cases aggravation previous comorbidities cases. Conclusions The often have more comorbidities, higher prevalence rates vascular stenosis except occluded vessels, collateral compensation original comorbidities.And all them may be important for after thrombectomy.
