Nutritional Value of Sainfoin Hay Compared with Alfalfa Hay

摘要: Abstract Production of milk, solids-not-fat, fat-corrected milk fat, and protein were lower for cows on sainfoin hay than those fed alfalfa in two switch-back trials. Hay grain consumption did not differ receiving the different hays. In a palatability study, 6-mo old heifers preferred to hay.
