Sarcomas in north west England: I. Histopathological peer review.

摘要: A total of 468 cases bone, soft tissue and visceral sarcomas (and certain other tumours) diagnosed during the years 1982-84 in North West England were entered a study histopathological peer review, incidence survival. This paper describes effects review. Material was reviewed by panel five pathologists for 413 450 originally registered as with Regional Cancer Registry. The diagnosis confirmed 76% there agreement on sub-type 53% cases. Measures lowest two sub-types most commonly i.e. malignant fibrous histiocytoma leiomyosarcoma. Degree between individual final also very variable but never less than 65%. It is concluded that second opinion essential presumed studies aetiology to ensure appropriate treatment selected.
