摘要: Abstract The pristine and Cr-doped ZnO nanorods were successfully synthesized via a facile hydrothermal route. We found that the ethanol gas response of was improved significantly by Cr doping. In particular, enhanced gas-sensing mechanism investigated first-principles calculations upon proposed surface adsorption models. calculated results revealed (0 0 1) enabled transfer larger electrons adsorb more oxygen molecules than undoped one, thus holding potential for further enhancement in ZnO-based sensors.
