摘要: Our study evaluated in silico the potential of 14 mitochondrial genes encoding subunits respiratory chain complexes, including cytochrome c oxidase I (CO1), as Basidiomycota DNA barcode. Fifteen complete and partial genomes were recovered characterized this study. Mitochondrial showed high values molecular divergence, indicating a for resolution lower-level relationships. However, numerous introns occurred CO1 well six other genes, potentially interfering with polymerase reaction amplification. Considering these results given minimal length 600-bp that is optimal fungal barcode, ATPase subunit 6, 3 NADH dehydrogenase 6 have most promising characteristics barcoding among studied. biological validation on two data sets indicated no single gene gave better taxonomic than ITS, region already widely used taxonomy.
