摘要: Abstract Studies of the water balance on a hectare gravelly wash in northern Death Valley showed that an exceptionally wet year, plants can obtain moisture from free soil and condensation vapor March. In May, with higher temperatures greater daily temperature extremes, distillation 20 to 40 cm zone provided more than enough make up for loss evapotranspiration. By June, rate other physiological processes were greatly decreased. Distillation June did adequately supply transpiration during cloudy, cool period. Transpiration four dominant species based grams lost per gram dry weight varied March through by species. Internal stress correlated closely rates. Diurnal increase internal generally followed decrease June. From 10 10, input was 2.6 g/cm 2 , evapotranspiration 4.0 1.0 . The difference between losses 0.4 which is result measuring outside root instead within zone.
