摘要: The Central California Coastal Circulation Study (CCCCS) was an 18-month field program designed to study the variability of water mass characteristics and velocity on continental shelf upper slope from Point Conception San Francisco. This funded by U.S. Department Interior, Minerals Management Service (MMS), as part overall assessment impact development oil gas resources ecosystem coastal California. Santa Maria Basin area, which extends Buchon (100 km north) about 50 offshore, is particular interest, this area will be focus exploration production over next decade. However, MMS also interested in how ocean region relates large-scale flow Current System. work for CCCCS conducted February 1984 through July 1985 Raytheon Company. paper summarizes some preliminary results analysis data.
