摘要: ABSTRACT Background  Following up on patients' clinical courses after hospital discharge may enhance physicians' learning and care of future patients. Barriers to this practice for residents include time constraints, discontinuous training environments, difficulty accessing patient information. Objective  We designed an educational intervention facilitating informed self-assessment reflection through structured postdischarge follow-up longitudinal courses. then examined the experience interns who received in a mixed methods study. Methods  Internal medicine 4-week safety rotation lists hospitalized patients they had cared earlier year. They selected chart review completed guided worksheet each reviewed.
