摘要: Free-living amoebae (FLA) including Acanthamoeba spp., Naegleria fowleri, and Balamuthia mandrillaris are among the many waterborne parasites. There is not much known about possible FLA contamination of irrigation resources watering crops agricultural lands in this country. Forty-five water samples were collected from canals used for farmlands tested presence pathogenic using morphological molecular-based methodology. The ITS region species was sequenced a phylogenetic tree generated to confirm genetic associations taxonomic status identified spp. A total seven (15.5%) positive FLA. Molecular analyses two strains as N. philippinensis (isolates: PW1 PW2) isolated treated water. One strain showed high homology with americana (isolate: PW3). To best our knowledge, present study first isolate waters Iran. should be considered potential health threat exposed farmers other people.
