摘要: A mutant of an E. coli relaxed (relA) strain has been isolated that is unable to accumulate detectable levels guanosine 3′,5′-bispyrophosphate (ppGpp). The was obtained by nitrosoguanidine mutagenesis and screened for ppGpp production during carbon source starvation.
