Evaluation of an Existing Imaging System for Pavement Surface Distress Survey

摘要: The categorization and quantification of the type, severity, extent pavement surface distress is a primary method for assessing condition. current data collection system in Arkansas State Highway Transportation Department (AHTD) uses an analog frame based video Van, which does not provide automated imaging capabilities. This project includes evaluation newly developed survey system, WiseCrax, by RoadWare Corporation Ontario, Canada. from recognition engine called WiseCrax. compared selected results manual AHTD staff. A users WiseCrax was also conducted this project. report on use Mr. Ed Block Connecticut attached as Appendix reference. describes status technology area possible future directions. concludes that there still exist limitations accuracy, speed degree automation with other existing systems.
