摘要: The precedence effect in subjective localization tasks reflects the dominance of directional information a direct sound (lead) over provided by one or several reflections (lags) for short delays. By collecting data both psychoacoustical measurements and auditory evoked potentials current study aims at neurophysiological correlates humans. In order to investigate whether stimulus features perception is reflected on ascending stages human pathway, brainstem responses (ABRs) as well cortical (CAEPs) using double click-pairs were recorded. Potentials related results data. ABRs with lead-lag delays from 0 20 ms interaural time differences (ITDs) lag click 300 micros show an emerging second wave V larger than 2 ms. amplitudes first are same delay about 5 For lag-ITD stimuli latency was prolonged approximately ITD/2 compared without lag-ITD. As not decreased around could be expected effect, reflect rather perceptive qualities stimulus. mismatch negativity (MMN) component CAEP determined diotic standard deviant ITD 800 click. comparison between MMN components shows that stimulus, i.e., effect. Generally, findings present suggest result poor sensitivity peripheral bottom-up processing. Rather, seems MMN, cognitive processes higher pathway.
