摘要: Genome editing is revolutionising the field of genetics, which includes novel applications to food animals. Responsible research and innovation (RRI) has been advocated as a way ensuring that wider-range stakeholders publics are able engage with new emerging technologies inform decision making from their perspectives values. We posit genome now proceeding at such fast rate, in so many different directions, overwhelm attempts achieving more reflective pace. An alternative location for reflection during much slower process taking products lab market. suggest emphasising Innovation, putting ‘I’ back into RRI, encouraging companies embrace an RRI approach. review some previous developing industry-relevant frameworks RRI. then describe two examples livestock; hornless cattle disease resistant pigs, reflect on sorts questions could be considered these examples. This paper seeks take forward discussion by extending it bringing market context edited livestock.
