摘要: Mesothelial cells are fundamental to the maintenance of serosal integrity and homeostasis play a critical role in normal repair following injury. However, when mechanisms breakdown, mesothelial take on profibrotic role, secreting inflammatory, mediators, differentiating migrating into injured tissues where they contribute fibrogenesis. The development new molecular cell tracking techniques has made it possible examine origin fibrotic within damaged elucidate roles inflammation fibrosis. In addition proinflammatory mediators contributing both coagulation fibrinolysis, undergo mesothelial-to-mesenchymal transition, process analogous epithelial-to-mesenchymal become fibrogenic cells. Fibrogenic have now been identified not previously thought occur, such as parenchyma lung. These findings show direct for fibrogenesis open therapeutic strategies prevent or reverse process.
