Trust perceptions among residents surrounding nuclear power plants: A descriptive and explanatory study

摘要: Abstract Trust is an important factor in the management of risk and uncertainty. This research focuses on public trust safety nuclear power plants populations living near a facility. We examine differences levels local among residents five communities as well role sociodemographic attitudinal factors predicting trust. Results from survey reveal first that majority respondents are ambivalent regarding their level plants, significant minority expresses strong mistrust. Second, analysis shows vary significantly between communities. bivariate indicate individuals’ associated with sex, knowledge, familiarity, prior attitude towards energy perception. multivariate perception main predictors Implications results discussed.
