摘要: The effects of rupture directivity at near-fault sites on the ratio maximum inelastic displacement demand to elastic are investigated. Inelastic ratios computed for single-degree-of-freedom systems undergoing different levels deformation when subjected 82 earthquake ground motions recorded distances closer than 15 km from surface projection rupture. It is found that in addition increments linear spectral ordinates long period region previously identified by seismologists, forward can affect demand. Results indicate records typically larger those distant periods between 0.1 and about 1.3s. Similarly, corresponding faultnormal components are, general, fault-parallel same region. From various parameters investigated may structures located near field it peak velocity incremental most important ones. show with large pulses experience deformations do not have these pulses, even if short similar. Thus, concluded modification design spectra alone be enough adequately control active faults.
