摘要: Perturbation of epithelial structure is a prominent but poorly understood feature the immunopathological response to bacterial antigens which characterizes destructive lesion periodontitis. Western analysis sera from 22 patients with periodontitis detected multiple in extracts cells whereas 12 periodontally healthy subjects displayed only trace reaction antigens. To investigate possible relationship between flora adjacent diseased sites and presence antibodies reactive epithelium, subgingival plaque samples were taken deep periodontal pockets cultured anaerobically. Gram positive bacteria containing cross-reactive reproducibly isolated by probing membrane colony-lifts affinity-isolated (epithelium-specific) identified 16S rDNA sequence homology as streptococci (S. mitis, S. constellatus two intermedius strains) Actinomyces (A. georgiae, A. sp. oral clone). Conversely, when serum was absorbed captured species number recognized specifically reduced. It concluded that development related these organisms may contribute perturbation attachment tooth progression These autoreactive could also be contributing factor other diseases affecting epithelia.
