摘要: The amygdala is a brain area which plays decisive role in fear and anxiety. Since exposure to chronic stress can induce profound effects emotion cognition, plasticity specific amygdaloid nuclei response prior has been hypothesized account for stress-induced emotional alterations. In order identify may be affected under conditions we evaluated the of 21-days restraint on expression molecule implicated crucially alterations structural plasticity: polysialylated neural cell adhesion molecule. We found that molecule-immunoreactivity within amygdala, present somata neuronal processes, regional gradient with central medial showing highest levels. Our results demonstrate induced an overall reduction complex, mainly due significant decrease nuclei. data suggest these play prominent functional remodeling by stress, being potential mechanism cognitive modulation. Furthermore, finding provide first clear evidence life experiences regulate complex.
