Development of a cancer genetics education program for clinicians.

摘要: BACKGROUND There is a gap in knowledge about hereditary cancer and genetic testing among primary care practitioners. Education needed to enable identification management of patients at high risk for cancer. METHODS A new genetics curriculum was delivered through individual lectures full-day conferences. Innovative marketing conference organizational approaches were used increase participation. RESULTS The has been 7,400 health professionals with diverse educational backgrounds. CONCLUSION Conventional formats successfully implement this curriculum. CME evaluations indicated satisfaction the programs clear need continued interest applications.
