摘要: For most adults, family and work roles are the significant sources of identity. Historically, social scientists investigated as if they were separate from one another; economy studied distinct institutions. As more women have entered paid labor force, researchers increasing attention to linkages between (Bielby Bielby, 1988b). We can no longer ignore that individuals trying balance roles—87% American adults live with other members 47% responsible for care a dependent member (children, ill partner, or parent) (Galinsky, Bond, & Friedman, 1993).
