Neutron guide system for small-angle neutron scattering instruments of the Jülich Centre for Neutron Science at the FRM-II

摘要: Abstract Following the shut-down of FRJ-2 research reactor in Julich a large part neutron scattering instrumentation operating there is currently being moved to FRM-II Garching-Munchen. The installation these instruments requires design and set-up new guides with geometrical optical features imposed by positioning guide hall foreseen significant improvement instrument performance. Particularly three SANS diffractometers require special approach due on one hand, their pre-determined size other demanded wavelength range. Expected characteristics (currently under construction) optimized using VITESS McStas simulation packages, namely vertically “S-shaped” serving KWS2 KWS1 conventional horizontally focusing KWS3 instrument, will be reported on.
