摘要: One decapod crustacean species, Portunus withersi (Glaessner, �933), from Guri Member (early Miocene) the Mishan Formation of Hormozgan Province, Southern Iran is reported. This species previously was described in Fars area, but this first report area. confirms early Miocene age; lower boundary coincident with Miocene. Recognition age member very important because ranges to middle west east Zagros Basin. north Bandar-Abbas older than it paper introduces only second Cenozoic crustaceans Thin sections carbonate unit have been studied order interpret sedimentary environment.
