摘要: The Wingless signaling pathway directs many developmental processes in Drosophila by regulating the expression of specific downstream target genes. We report here that product trithorax group gene osa is required to repress such genes absence signal. Wingless-regulated nubbin, Distal-less, and decapentaplegic a minimal enhancer from Ultrabithorax are misexpressed mutants repressed ectopic Osa. Osa-mediated repression occurs up-regulation Armadillo but sensitive both relative levels activating Armadillo/Pangolin repressing Groucho/Pangolin complexes present responsiveness promoter Wingless. Osa functions as component Brahma chromatin-remodeling complex; other components this complex likewise These results suggest altering conformation chromatin an important mechanism which activates expression.
