Atmospheric carbon dioxide measurements in the Australian region: data from surface observatories

摘要: Observations of the atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) concentration made at surface locations in Australian and Antarctic regions are presented for period 19761984. These observations complement those already reported which were based on samples collected from aircraft throughout troposphere lower stratosphere same region. Data 4 sites, Cape Grim (40°41'S; 144°41'E). Mawson (67°37'S; 62°52'E), Macquarie Island (54°29'S; 158°58'E) Wilbinga (31°25'S; 115°33'E) air board ships traversing Southern Ocean. By far most comprehensive monitoring program described is that Observatory, where continuous situ have been since 1976. Methods considered selection data to represent baseline or background a description given natural variability CO concentration, including within-hour diurnal variability, seasonal cycles, interannual secular trends.
