摘要: Abstract This study investigated the effect of LIPUS on fracture healing when fractures were exposed to ultrasound at three axial distances: z = 0 mm, 60 mm, and 130 mm. We applied rat these distances mimicking exposure condition human different depths under soft tissue. Measurement shows pressure variations in near field (nearby transducer); uniform profile was found beyond it (far field). asked whether positions within cause inconsistent biological during process. Closed femoral fractured Sprague–Dawley rats randomized into control, near-field (0 mm), mid-near (60 mm) or far-field (130 mm) groups. Daily treatment (plane, but apodized source, see details text; 2.2 cm diameter; 1.5 MHz sine waves repeating 1 kHz PRF; spatial average temporal intensity, ISATA = 30 mW/cm2) given site distances. Weekly radiographs endpoint microCT, histomorphometry, mechanical tests performed. The results showed that 130 mm group had highest tissue mineral density; significantly higher properties than control week 4. 60 mm 0 mm groups (i.e. p
