摘要: Mucins are a class of highly O-glycosylated proteins found on the surface cells in epithelial tissues. O-Glycosylation is crucial for functionality mucins and changes therein can have severe consequences an organism. With that mind, elucidation interactions carbohydrate binding with mucins, whether morbidly altered or unaltered conditions, continue to shed light mechanisms involved diseases like chronic inflammations cancer. Despite known importance type-1 type-2 elongated mucin cores 1-4 glycobiology, corresponding structures much less well studied. Here, first chemical synthesis extended O-glycan core 1-3 amino acid based convergent approach presented. By utilizing differentiation acceptor reactivity, shared early stage Tn- T-acceptor intermediates were common [β-D-Gal-1,3-β-D-GlcNAc] disaccharide, which allows straightforward preparation diverse glycosylated acids carrying saccharides. The obtained 9-fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl (Fmoc)-protected building blocks employed glycopeptides, useful biological applications.
