摘要: In a previous study, Roux-Y gastric bypass was found to be significantly more effective than vertical banded gastroplasty for weight loss in morbid obesity, especially patients addicted sweets, probably as result of dumping syndrome symptoms. This study evaluated the ability selectively assign nonsweet eaters and sweet bypass. Compared with random assignment, percentage excess lost at 2 years improved both groups combined. group, increased from 41 +/- 19 55 percent. With selective still better that gastroplasty. Weight superior but expense complications. Gastric ineffective percent super obese patients. A combined restrictive, malabsorptive procedure may necessary such persons.
