摘要: Patients with hematological malignancies such as leukemias and lymphomas are predisposed to a wide spectrum of infections that need special attention. These patients immunosuppressed not only result the immune defects associated underlying disease, but also because treatment regimens generally further decrease patient’s resistance infections. An intensive transfusion support platelets, red cell concentrates, immunoglobulins, cytokines, other drugs is necessary. Many antiemetic agents, nutritional support, pain medication, and, very often, venous catheters. All these measures considered supportive care apply in similar fashion high-dose solid tumors. Supportive measures, along prophylaxis infections, discussed this chapter. Transfusion Chapter 22.
