摘要: Among amniote vertebrates, geckos represent a clade with exceptional variability in sex determination; however, only minority of species this highly diverse group has been studied respect. Here, we describe for the first time female heterogamety genus Paroedura, radiated Madagascar and adjacent islands. We identified homomorphic ZZ/ZW chromosomes heterochromatic W chromosome Paroedura masobe, oviceps, karstophila, stumpffi, lohatsara. Comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) revealed that female-specific sequences are greatly amplified P. lohatsara gracilis seems to possess derived system multiple chromosomes. Contrastingly, neither CGH nor heterochromatin visualization differentiated members picta—Paroedura bastardi—Paroedura ibityensis clade, which is phylogenetically nested within lineages chromosome. As ratio consistent genotypic determination reported picta, it appears picta—P. bastardi—P. homomorphic, poorly may rare example evolutionary loss Fluorescent situ (FISH) telomeric probe telomere-typical pattern all an accumulation centromeric region autosomes stumpffi bastardi.
