摘要: Purpose: We prospectively studied the impact of transrectal ultrasound guided prostate biopsy on patient well-being.Materials and Methods: enrolled 211 consecutive men who underwent a total 218 events in questionnaire based survey focusing pain, anxiety erectile dysfunction risk factors. Surveys were administered before, immediately, 1 week month after biopsy. Quantitative information intensity symptoms signs was obtained using uniform grading system.Results: Intraoperative pain considered severe 20% associated with first 24 hours postoperatively, leading to analgesic use 10%.
