Interrelationships between stem and ear development in winter wheat: the effects of a Norin 10 dwarfing gene, Gai/Rht2

摘要: A field and a glasshouse experiment were carried out to assess in winter wheat genotypes the interrelationships between stem ear development, relate these number of grains yield. Capelle-Desprez (gai/rht2) Hobbit ‘s’ (Gai/Rht2) used together with four F4 lines from cross them. Two homozygous for gai/rht2 two Gai/Rht2. Within each pair there was contrast tall short genotype.There no consistent differences shoot apex morphogenesis genotypes, and, general, similar numbers spikelets floret primordia initiated all genotypes. This contrasts hypothesis that based on Norin 10 have fundamentally different pattern morphogenesis. The main dry-matter partitioning prior anthesis associated more consistently dwarfing gene than height per se. Gai/Rht2 partitioned dry matter during its development less this reflected greater weight at anthesis, fertile florets spikelet, higher harvest index grain yield Although assimilate determined proportion which developed into anthesis.
