Grafting of maleic acid on the polyester fibres initiated by plasma at atmospheric pressure

摘要: Abstract Poly(ethyleneterephtalate) fibres (PET) have been treated by low-temperature nitrogen plasma generated in a reactor that works at atmospheric pressure. After the activation plasma, PET were subsequently grafted with maleic acid (MAc) order to enhance their adhesion styrene–butadiene rubber (SBR) blend. The three factors, five levels analysis means of statistical and regression evaluation method was used determine influence concentration MAc on solution, rate fibre movement through reactor, grafting time weight increment after grafting, strength, mechanical structural characteristics fibres. As result new polar groups belonging caused change morphology, which confirmed scanning electron microscopy (SEM). These changes can lead better strength between
