摘要: Fuzzy set theory deals with characterizing and quantifying vague imprecise information as such can be of high value in environmental practice. While statistical randomness arises due to lack adequate data variability a system, fuzziness incorporates imprecision arising from complete information, conflicting viewpoints or theories, incomplete incorrect models physical phenomenon subjective decisions made during analysis. Clearly, is quite prevalent practice must quantified for risk-informed decision making. fuzzy logic approaches offer several advantages, understanding training among practitioners seen significant bottleneck routine utilization based schemes. Conventional mathematical approaches, establishing relationships between inputs outputs, regression, calculus, hypothesis testing all carried out on variables. The literature -theoretic rich amount research being identify solutions new problems refine existing approaches. Several theoretical contributions suitable use have been identified this review. In addition, selected example applications where schemes employed also documented. It hoped that regulators will appreciate the utility plagues analysis utilize its functionality risk, remedial, regulatory other applications.
