Perspectives of Young Adult Men Regarding Violence against Women: A Cross-sectional Study from Turkey

摘要: Women are often victims of male-to-female intimate partner violence. The sample in this study consisted 637 participants who were conscripted soldiers at Gulhane Military Medical Academy Ankara, Turkey. This research examined the perspectives and perceptions young adult men toward violence against women identified potential risk factors for In study, 8.8 % reported perpetrating women. Multivariate analysis indicated males whose father acted violently their mother 3.5 times more likely to commit than without violent fathers. It is suggested public health nurses could effectively prevent by providing education.
