摘要: Polyamines are of great importance in several physiological processes, such as cell proliferation and differentiation. The ingestion spermine by suckling rats induces precocious maturation their small intestine. Shortly after ingestion, produces elimination at the villous top. origin this exfoliation was investigated to determine whether it due apoptosis. Wistar were orally treated with spermine. Apoptosis analyzed intestine Tdt-mediated dUTP-fluorescein nick-end labeling reaction, caspase-3-like analysis, DNA laddering. Polyamine content measured HPLC. intestinal transitory alteration appeared soon 2 hr administration. events increased strongly same moment They evidenced laddering, activity. Changes observed consistent apoptosis, but caspase inhibitor did not reduce alteration, Zn2+ chelator.
