The Changing Nature of “Faith” in Faith‐Based Organizations: Secularization and Ecumenicism in Four AIDS Organizations in New York City

摘要: This study discusses the changing meaning of faith in four AIDS organizations New York City. Although all continue to honor their religious roots and have a place for spirituality, original religion has changed. Two became secularized, two others incorporated highly ecumenical personalized form that reflects trends nature contemporary American society. The sources change are more complex than mere receipt government funds, they include lack funding activities, changes client populations, shifts leadership stakeholders.
