摘要: Vertical accretion and sediment accumulation rates were determined from the distribution of 137Cs in cores collected freshwater, intermediate, brackish, salt marshes Barataria Basin, Louisiana. vary about 1.3 cm*yr-l levee areas to 0.7 backmarshes. Mineral content marsh soil profile decreased with distance coast. However, vertical equivalent same type. Autochthonous organic matter appears be an important factor defining process rate accretion, especially freshwater marshes. Except natural areas, are less than subsidence measured by water level data, however this alone cannot account for observed land-loss patterns basin area.
