Electronic Effects of Aromatic Rings on the Catalytic Activity of Dioxidomolybdenum(VI)–Hydrazone Complexes

摘要: Nine dioxidomolybdenum(VI) complexes were synthesized by the ‎reaction of MoO3 with tridentate hydrazone Schiff base ligands ‎obtained from reaction aromatic acid hydrazides (3-hydroxy-2-‎naphthoic hydrazide, 4-pyridine carboxylic hydrazide or 2-‎furane hydrazide) and ortho-hydroxy aldehyde ‎derivatives (5-iodo-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde, 2-hydroxy-1-‎naphthaldehyde 2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde). All ‎and characterized elemental analysis ‎spectroscopic methods. The structures seven ‎further elucidated single-crystal X-ray diffraction which ‎indicated a distorted octahedral geometry at metal centre. ‎Spectroscopic analyses indicated that are ‎coordinated to molybdenum(VI) ion as dinegative due ‎deprotonation phenolic OH amidic NH groups upon ‎complexation. These used catalyst in ‎the oxidation cyclooctene thioanisol presence ‎hydrogen peroxide environmental friendly oxidant. In order ‎achieve highest catalytic activity, effects important ‎parameters such solvent, temperature molar ratio ‎oxidant substrate optimized. results indicate ‎electron-withdrawing substituents on increase ‎catalytic activity dioxidomolybdenum(VI)-hydrazone complexes.‎
